When you’re a kid celebrating your birthday it’s full of magic and fun. As an adult, the fun and magic come from taking advantage of all the birthday freebies. When Jacob and I were poor college students, someone told me about birthday clubs and how signing up for them could get me a bunch of free treats on my birthday. I did not hesitate to sign up.
What is a Birthday club?
If you are new to the birthday club. It’s basically when a store/restaurant gives you free stuff or a coupon to help you celebrate your birthday. Sometimes you get a coupon for a percentage off, sometimes it’s a BOGO, and sometimes it’s completely free with no other purchase required. All you need to do is sign up for the birthday club on their website and every year during your birthday month, they send you the goods. It’s completely free to join these clubs. Now that you have that knowledge, here are some of my favorites.
My Favorite Birthday Freebies
These are the ones I take advantage of every year without fail.
1. Nothing Bundt Cakes
On your birthday month, get a free bundtlet of your choice. If your birthday is in May like mine is, don’t go on Mother’s day weekend. Lines for days! But I love their eclub because they also send emails for free bundt cakes throughout the year. Not just on your birthday.
2. Red Robin
This is another no-strings-attached birthday freebie. You get a free burger on your birthday without having to buy anything else. I love getting a yummy chicken sandwich on my birthdays. I also love going and dining by myself. The peace and quiet is amazing.
3. Habit Burger
This is another place I love to go for a free, no strings attached birthday meal. On your birthday month, you get a coupon sent to you for a free birthday charburger. This is another great club to be a part of because they will send you coupons throughout the year for free burgers.
4. Cold Stone
Cold stone is another one I like just because I like their ice cream. It’s a BOGO deal and I look at it as getting 50 percent off each ice cream. Pretty good deal in my book. They also send BOGO coupons throughout the year so they’re a great club to be a part of even when it’s not your birthday.
5. Cafe Rio
Cafe Rio is one I go to because I love it. On my birthday, they give me $5 to go toward your order. Depending on what you get, it’s about 40-50 percent off your meal. If it’s just me and the kids, I use my $5 and get the kids the free kid quesadillas. Boom. Just fed 5 of us for about $5-$8.
6. IHOP
I probably should have lead with this since it’s breakfast. IHOP gives you a free full stack of pancakes on your birthday month.
