Instruments

Has your loved one expressed an interest in learning a new instrument? You can support that desire by getting them an instrument for Christmas this year. Some ideas include:

  • Guitar: This amazon best seller is great for kids, teens, and beginners. It also comes with a case and accesories!
  • Drums: This electronic drum set comes with a jack for headphones so you don’t have to hear your musician practicing all the time.
  • Banjo
  • Violin
  • Digital piano or Keyboard: This is the instrument we decided to go with and it has been well loved in our home.
  • Harmonica

Music lessons

If you have an instrument already or if you’re buying one for someone, pair it with music lessons. We had a few of our kids start lessons this past year and it has been so wonderful to listen to them grow and progress in their skill level.

Sheet music

If you have someone who already knows how to play an instrument find a list of songs they want to learn and purchase sheet music for those songs for them.

Music books

Music books are a great way to supplement a musician’s learning. Our kids have their regular lesson books, but we also get some other music books that contain songs they already know and this helps to make it just that much more fun for them.

Headphones

I love the gift of headphones because it allows the user to listen to music without disturbing others. It can also pair with many of the instruments listed above so that when they’re practicing it doesn’t have to disturb everyone else (especially if their still in the beginning stages of their musical journey)

This is the last of my “Gift Outside the box” series and I’m so happy to have had the chance to share these with you. I think of all the categories I’ve shared this one is my favorite. Check out the other gift categories and let me know what you’re gifting your loved ones this year.
